Just before crossing the border from Utah into Colorado, our conductor announced that'd we be following the Colorado River almost entirely to Denver...for over 200 miles. Yesterday it was all trees, and today there's not a single tree in sight. But there's plenty of water!
We also learned that it is Cheryl's, our conductor, last trip as an Amtrak conductor. Happy retirement, Cheryl!
